Elander showed her court vision, decisiveness and poise at the Check Me Out Midwest showcase this last October. She does a very good of keeping her eyes up and making reads on the offensive end. She also showed her ability to knock down the 1-2 step 3-ball, which is a great comfort zone for her to have as a distributing point guard. What was also impressive about her scoring was the runner she showed in the lane, that had a high release point that she used off the glass nicely. Guard wise, she really does a nice job of running the offense at her age and uses her shift really well to get herself looks at the rim, and her teammates. She had a nice cross court pass off the drive showing she can find her teammates and manuever in the lane. Where she can look to improve over the next year is in her strength and explosivensss, which will help her be more efficient on the floor. Overall, Elander has a great working skill set that allows her to impact multiple facets of the game because she is opportuntistic finding teammates and taking looks at the rim.
