Strengths

Cavey’s versatility on the perimeter allows her to make plays at the basket, finishing with either hand. She is a shotmaker on the outside with her feet set, making her a tough matchup for opposing defenses. Cavey is a high IQ prospect who is on the National Honor Society. On the hardwood, she showcases that skill regularly with her willingness to make timely cuts for easy scores on offense. Defensively, Cavey possesses the length to play the passing lanes and is a steady position defender in help side.

Area To Improve

At the collegiate level we project that Cavey will be able to add the strength needed to take the contact from upper echelon guards and still finish plays. The next 12 months can give her a head start in that regard as she prepares for college during her senior year of high school basketball.

The Bottom Line

Cavey is an elite prospect inside of the State of Colorado’s class of 2016. She averaged 17.3 points per contest this past school season and is playing with one of the state’s premier club teams. Her ability to handle her business on the floor and off makes her a prospect that schools nationwide need to have high on the recruiting board.
