Mary Triplett has shown marked improvement in the last year.

Mary Triplett of Nashville, Tenn., has proven herself to be both a hard worker and a sharpshooter from the outside. This is our second in-depth evaluation on her game.

Vitals

Name: Mary Triplett – Grad Year: 2017
Location: Nashville, Tenn. – School: Harpeth Hall
Current Position: PG – Projected Position: PG

Strengths

Triplett’s play since our January evaluation shows marked improvement. She is playing with an increased confidence and has worked on her ability to create plays for others. With her Lady Zoom club team, Triplett once again displayed her penchant for knocking down the long-range jump shot. In that regard, the most impressive addition to her game was making the defense pay for giving her space after creating scoring opportunities for teammates. Her ability to create off of the dribble plus her energy on both ends stand out for this sophomore.

Area To Improve

Triplett’s size will be a concern for some coaches at the next level. Continuing to add strength to her frame will only increase her ability to offset any height disparity matchup wise. Adding that to becoming a top notch defender will allow Triplett to continue to produce the growth in her game that we have seen over the past 10 months. She’s more than skilled enough to make the plays needed to be successful.

The Bottom Line

Academically Triplett is on her A-game, taking four Honors classes and an Advanced Placement course during her sophomore year. She scored a 191 on the PSAT in addition to the 32 on the ACT that we reported on the first evaluation. Her play on the floor coupled with her classroom achievements have resulted in a star increase to her ProspectsNation.com rating.
