Vitals

Name: Asia Durr - Grad Year: 2015
Location: Douglasville, Ga. – School: St. Pius X
Current Position: SG – Projected Position: SG

Strengths

A 5-foot-10 scoring guard, Durr is one of the best scorers in the sophomore class nation wide. With her size, Durr makes it tough for opposing defenders as she can rise up and make shots over the top of smaller guards. She’s been shooting the 3-pointer well as of late and is always a threat to attack the rim off of the bounce. Durr’s ability to finish plays around the basket is uncanny. The five-star prospect has shown that she can also help handle the basketball against pressure as well.

Area To Improve

Durr excels at beating defenders off of her left-hand dribble drive. Continuing to work on using her right hand to attack as well will be a point of emphasis for her over the next six months. Adding the ability to finish consistently at the rim with her right hand through contact will add at least a couple of scoring opportunities per contest to Durr’s game.

The Bottom Line

Durr is a bigtime scorer who is in a position to be the premier scoring guard in the class of 2015. There aren’t but a handful of guards regardless of class who can make the type of plays that Durr makes at this point in her career. Look for her recruitment to continue to take shape as schools flock to her games this club season to evaluate her play.
