Lester displayed ideal leadership qualities for a point guard at the camp. She was vocal and engaged from start to finish. She demonstrated an advanced understanding of the game and its fundamentals both in drills and in competitive situations. In addition to being very polished with her skills, she also proved that she can make plays versus some of the very most athletic in this setting. Her ability to get past her defender and make the right read in the lane is the strength of her game. She is capable of scoring or finding the open teammate with the pass. Additionally, she is a high percentage shooter from distance. By all accounts her success on the court does not come by happenstance. She puts in hours of skill work and strength & conditioning work with her high school program in the off-season. She is on trajectory to become one of the top floor generals in Middle Tennessee in the 2018-19 season.
Lester has next level potential. Given her basketball DNA and work ethic there is no doubt that a college program will soon come to covet her skills for their program. Lester must overcome the fact that she is not one of the biggest at her position and thereby will sometimes get overlooked by potential suitors. Ultimately her production on the court will speak the loudest and determine her ultimate destination.
