Curry’s ascent to being a notable freshman to watch in Indiana has been fun to document. Back in the spring, I could see the skill set pieces coming together for Curry. That said, she still had to go out and make all the puzzle pieces fit to create consistent production. Six months later, Curry has done just that. It doesn’t matter if the kids are juniors and seniors on the floor now, she can still find her production. Curry will make the open slot or corner 3-pointer when the opportunity presents itself. She’s handling the basketball well in the open floor or the half court. That’s been a big place of growth. Curry puts a good amount of time in on her game. It’s showing up in a major way. Curry’s game has come a long way the last 18 to 24 months. She’s put the time in to be a high-level prospect in that regard. Her ability to make the open shot from the perimeter is a separator as Curry heads to the high school level this fall. If she continues to blossom in that area, it’s even tougher for opposing defenses to guard her. Curry has an upside with her inside / outside game that most don’t possess at this age. She can add to that by spending more time attacking zone coverage and even individual matchups playing from the nail at the free throw line. – Brandon Clay / @BrandonClayPSB
Curry is blossoming into a face up option in the frontcourt. Her footwork has taken a noticeable step on the right trajectory. In multiple evaluations, Curry has shown substantial growth in her outside shooting range. The next step before we meet again in September is to work on shooting with confidence in-game. Curry has the skill and talent to take her game up a notch over the next 12 months before she enters high school. -- Brandon Clay / @BrandonClayPSB
Curry has a wonderful disposition that allows her to lace up her shoes and just get to work. She is extremely coachable with a nice touch on her outisde shot into the midrange based on this showing. Curry's ability to be a consistent threat on both ends will depend on her ability to keep the floor spaced to the 3-point line and rebounding on both ends on the hardwood in area. Both of those aspects of Curry's game are places where can and should excel with her dedication to improvement.
