CONSENSUS TOP 25 UPDATES

The CONSENSUS TOP 25 is now live with a final revision to 2026 and the expansion of rankings for the 2027 class, from 20 to 25.

The timing of the consensus is intentional, not jumping to use early rankings that often change over time.  As was the case last winter, the rankings of ProspectsNation.com, ESPN.com and 247Sports.com are used to calculate the CONSENSUS TOP 25.

The 2027 class has a unanimous top two with Kaleena Smith of Perris, California and Ivanna Wilson-Manyacka of Fredrick, Maryland. While things can always change with major performances on big stages, this class feels like it has settled some at the top with this duo continuing to hold their respective spots.

The margin for players 3rd through 7th is miniscule.  Within this group the highest ranking from any of the three services being utilized in the CONSENSUS is 3rd (Sydney Savoury by PN, Haylen Ayers by 247, Caroline Bradley by ESPN) and the lowest across the board is 9th (Savoury by ESPN). Both Micah Ojo of Virginia Beach, Virginia, and Eve Long of Olathe, Kansas, are firmly in the CONSENSUS top 10.

The next cluster with very minimal separation starts at 10 and for the next four players ranked, a single spot moved up or down could change the order.  Lauren Hassell of Clarksville, Tennessee, sits at 10 with National Williams of Las Vegas, Nevada, and a Ryan Carter of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, tied for 11th.  Qandace Samuels of Forestville, Maryland, is right there with this group with a chance at a top 10 spot.

The two highest ranked new additions to the CONSENSUS rankings are Sydney Savoury of Ann Arbor, Michigan at No. 5, and Avery Arije of Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, who debuts at No. 14.  With the expansion from 20 to 25, there are several more new additions – No. 20 Taylor Brown of Wyncote, New Jersey, No. 21 Saniyah Murray of Gulfport, Mississippi, No. 23 Ogechi Okeke of Missouri City, Texas, and No. 25 Jada Jackson of Wolfforth, Texas.

For the 2026 class saw some movement.  Autumn Fleary of Baltimore, Maryland, moved up from 16th to 10th. Another lead guard, Maddyn Greenway of Wayzata, Minnesota, made a big jump, up seven spots, to No. 13.

Coming off one of the biggest summers of 2025, Aaliyah Spaight of Las Vegas, Nevada, moves in at No. 19, the highest ranked new player to crack the CONSENSUS TOP 25.  She is joined by Lilly Williams of Farmington Hills, Michigan, who debuts at No. 22.

Players with the biggest spreads between the individual rankings were Amari Byles of McKinney , Texas, with 21 spots between her highest and lowest ranking, Jordan Jackson of Washington, D.C., with a 16-spot difference and Greenway with a difference of 13 spots.

The top 17 of the CONSENSUS TOP 25 all made the McDonald’s All-American Game.  The two highest ranked players not being selected were both injured and thus ineligible – No. 17 Kelsi Andrews of Auburn, Alabama, and No. 21 Bella Ragone of Hoschton, Georgia.

The only two healthy players to not be selected were No. 23 Brooklyn Haywood of Vancouver, Washington, and No. 25 Byles. Making the game as a perimeter player is always harder as the game requires a specific number of post players, regardless of how many top 25 posts are in a class. And the CONSENSUS was not calculated as an awards predictor, but as a way to check the national pulse across several of the trusted and established lenses in the girls’ game.
