This was my first time getting to break down Feeney’s game. Her skill set with the basketball is advanced for a prospect in the eighth grade. On a floor with some of Indiana’s top high school prospects, Feeney didn’t look a bit out of place. She is a high-level shooter for sure. Based on what I saw, I would expect that part of Feeney’s game to always be something she can go to. That said, what I was the most impressed with offensively was her willingness to attack the paint regardless of who was guarding her on the perimeter. Most young prospects are a bit timid in a gym full of legitimate talent like Feeney was in. She found her rhythm early and kept her foot on the gas for the duration of the session. The next step for Feeney will be to add to her physical strength over the next 12 months. That will be important as she heads towards high school playing with and against players up to four actual birthdays older than Feeney. If this setting is any indication, she won’t need to adjust her playing style at all but some added strength prior to November 2027 will certainly help Feeney’s cause. She’s every bit as talented as Class of 2030 prospects Tatum Eberly and Rylee Grinstead were this time a year ago. – Brandon Clay / @BrandonClayPSB
