This was my first chance to sit and evaluate video on Taylor’s game. Right away, her length at the guard spot jumps out. Taylor is shot maker who is also a willing passer in the halfcourt and in transition. There aren’t a lot of off the basketball guards able to serve in both facets of the offensive game like Taylor can. She is a consistent shot maker from beyond the arc and is especially good shooting from the corners off the one more pass in the slot. Taylor then applies pressure to opposing defenses with her willingness to attack off the catch. Once she beats her initial defender, Taylor can finish around the rim with either hand if help doesn’t come to cut off the driving lane. On the other end of the floor, Taylor isn’t afraid to go into the paint to get a steal or grab a loose basketball. She’s active on both ends of the hardwood. Her build and competitive nature on the floor remind me of Hanna Wheeler who played at Incarnate Word earlier this decade. Like Wheeler, Taylor will continue to mature physically with time and added weight training work. Taylor was a part of a Richland High team that won both the Area and Regional Championships during the 2025-26 season. Look for her to have an even bigger role as she enters her junior season. – Brandon Clay / @BrandonClayPSB
