2019 - EBA Super 64 Showcase
Smith exerted herself as one of the best on-ball defenders in the camp during the 5/5 game portion. Her strength and athleticism is a tough combo for opposing guards to handle if they are not ready. On the offensive end, Smith demonstrated good judgement as to when to attack the lane or when to back it out. That type of probing ball handling is a sign of maturity. Proving that she can test the defense from beyond the arc consistently will be the next step in her progression as a complete back court option. -- Coach Hemi
Smith came in ready to take whatever we threw at her terminology and skill training wise. She is an emerging threat capable of handling the ball or playing off the ball. If Smith will continue to show the ability to knockdown the open jumper when left open, she’s a dynamite option at the shooting guard position as a result. Developing the read on when, where to make feeds when she plays alongside a primary post player will only help her progress. -- Brandon Clay
