Leverton is a point guard with solid fundamental skill. She shoots the ball with accuracy from beyond the arc. Her high arcing shot allows her to be accurate from distance. She sports a high follow through that is consistent. Leverton’s natural position is the point guard position. She displayed great floor vision last summer. She found open teammates all over the court. Her ability to quickly deliver the ball is an important skill. Leverton is equally effective in transition. She can attack the basket with either hand in space. This skill of using both hands will be very key as the climbs the ladder of competition. The next step in Leverton’s development will be to become more aggressive as a slasher and play creator in the half court. Much of this will happen naturally for her as she gets bigger and stronger physically. -- Coach Hemi
