James is a 5'11 small forward in the 2020 class. Offensively, she liked being in the pick and roll action and was effective making reads out of that positioning. She was playing more on the interior because of her length, but her feel is strong on the perimeter as well. She moves well without the ball and is comfortable putting the ball on the floor. Continuing to develop that midrange game is key for her whether she is catching off the elbow or pulling up in the paint off the bounce from the perimeter or transiton. She has a mismatch advantage because of her extra length, working skill set and smooth feel. She has a lot of athleticism and at times she was more assertive than others, but very capable in her attack. Defensively, she moved well on the skip passes and has a solid presence defending and detering shots. Overall, James has a lot of upside and can look to impact in a lot of ways on the floor with her current skill set.
