Faith Bergstrom of Camas, Washington, verbally committed to Cal Poly this week.  The 6-3 interior prospect chose Big West program over finalists Harvard, UC-San Diego and Yale.

The long and versatile forward projects the ability to play both the 4 and 5 positions in college.  She elevates really well which allows her to score against bigger post defenders.  Her mobility from the trail is also very intriguing.

Having worked with Bergstrom at countless camps and watching her on the circuit, her work ethic and ability to be coached hard all bodes well to projecting success at the next level.  She registered a 30-inch vertical last summer at the Check Me Out Showcase in Seattle, Washington.  That feat was enough to tie 2020 USC signee Jordyn Jenkins for best hops in the event.

Bergstrom is a big get for Cal Poly as the depth of 2021 post players, especially from the Pacific Northwest, is limited.  Last summer she was pegged as one of the most improved players in the region after her standout performance that the Check Me Out Showcase in Seattle that August.
