MURFREESBORO, Tenn. – The inaugural year of the CoachHemi.com Showcase proved to be an instant success. Seven players that are currently ranked nationally by ProspectsNation.com attended the camp this past weekend. Several others had performances that will instantly put them in the conversation of the nation’s elite. Here is part two of our look back at a few of the camp’s top players.

Meme Jackson (Murfreesboro, Tenn.,) Blackman – 2015

Similar to our day one recap, our day two recap features a future Tennessee Lady Vol. This time its class of 2015 verbal commit Meme Jackson of Murfreesboro, Tenn. Jackson is an athletic wing who is no stranger to Peach State Basketball or EBA Camps. Throughout her time around our staff she has shown a consistent level of growth, improving her skills and learning how to utilize her athletic abilities. Jackson is now a quality perimeter shooter who thrives when attacking the basket. This type of growth in her game will allow her to potentially be a nice scoring threat for the Lady Vols throughout her college career. This weekend we saw Jackson take an assertive role in games and look to be aggressive on the offensive end, another positive sign from the junior wing prospect.

Tyra Johnson (Decatur, Ala.), Austin – 2016

Tyra Johnson is a class of 2016 point guard prospect that came to the CoachHemi.com Showcase and made plenty of noise. Johnson is explosive playing off the bounce and can get down hill off of one move and attack the rim. She has good pace to her game and is great in one-on-one situations. Another aspect of Johnson’s game that was on display here was her perimeter jumper which fell consistently throughout the games here. Her ability to score at all three levels makes her a quality lead guard prospect as she should be able to make plays for herself as well as others at the next level. Overall, Johnson is an intriguing prospect that we will keep an eye on moving forward. If she can continue to perform like she did here it will be hard to keep her name from the ProspectsNation.com pages in the future.

Abby Wright (Lebanon, Tenn.,) Lancaster Christian – 2015

Another standout player who left a lasting impression on our ProspectsNation.com staff this weekend was class of 2015 forward Abby Wright. Wright is a 5-foot-11 prospect who plays with an abundance of energy and a knack for finding the ball. Wright has a versatile game as she can step out and shoot the jumper and play around the basket finishing with either hand. She was effective this weekend when she played with that energy, as at times she seemed to just always be in the right place at the right time. She is one of those kids who doesn’t need the ball to make an impact on the game but when she does have it she can make a play.
