BUFORD, Georgia – The Elite Basketball Academy All-American Showcase has been the proving grounds for players currently playing in the WNBA and at all levels of collegiate basketball. Now in it’s 10thyear, the showcase gives the campers a chance to work with the Brandon Clay Skill Training staff as well as be seen by the ProspectsNation.com evaluation staff. I had a chance to work with select groups of the campers personally. Here are the breakdowns from the 4:15 pm group:

Kali Barber – Tampa, FL - 2020 – Seffner Christian

Barber showed in this setting that she is a willing learner on the floor. Inside the drills, she was locked in to improving and has the skill to make plays. In that way, Barber is still rounding out both her ability to kick on the move with either hand and consistently knock down the open jumper. She’s a worker who will go back to Florida ready to keep growing her game.

Courtney Davis – Warner Robins, GA - 2021 – Warner Robins HS

Davis was a welcome addition to the mix on the week of the showcase. She was focused on the task of improvement at hand and showed shooting range out to the 3-point line. Davis has good size, skill in the backcourt. Continuing to gain confidence in her ability to attack going either way to kick to open teammates in an area for emphasis over the next 6-12 months for Davis.

Shelby Gard – Wellington, FL - 2019 – Palm Beach Central

When Gard gets her feet set, she can be a high end option as a knockdown shooter. As she continues to build on her game, adding both strength and the understanding of where / when to pick her spots will be a place for growth. Her length coupled with her shooting ability makes her an intriguing prospect.

Bria Neal – Reverse, LA - 2019 – Riverside Academy

Neal is a versatile option at the guard spot. She’s got the length and size to be effective. In this setting, Neal showed the upside to be a capable driver off of the bounce. She can continue to improve her footwork on the catch and shoot when planting on her inside foot first.

Tyia Treleaven – Tulsa, OK - 2020 – Holland Hall

A dynamic option at the point guard spot, Treleaven came in ready to go. The left-hand dominant floor general showed touch out beyond the arc and a speedy, compact build to go with it. If Treleaven can add a consistent right hand on both the bounce and the pass to go with her left, she becomes an even more productive threat as a result.

Wylie Sheridan – Atlanta, GA - 2020 - St. Pius X

Sheridan is a frontcourt option with both good size and a first-class work ethic. We got Sheridan isolated skill development with post specialist Jonathan Hemingway. Hemingway said, “Sheridan’s feet and touch with her left hand make her a threat to score around the rim.” If Sheridan can add a right hand half hook to match her left one, she becomes very hard to stop.
