For the 2022 class things will go a little different as the number of truly marquee matchups in the class have been limited and we’re taking a more thorough approach before assigning numbers to prospects.
ProspectsNation.com, instead, will introduce the ELITE 100 Watch List for the 2022 class. The initial 30 names consist of players whose body of work today warrants inclusion in the ranking discussion.
This list will evolve and grow as we get to the summer circuit and see these players another round. Putting the competition and discussion above the number for younger players is more helpful and productive for the athlete in our view. A specific order is not necessary to celebrate the up and coming elite players in the sport.
Initial player ratings (star ratings) will also be reviewed with each update. A rankings release will be done once each age group truly separates itself on the court.
