There may not be a better two-way player in the class.  Her ability to impact the game on so many levels led to her club team, the Cal Sparks, winning the Nike Girls EYBL championship this summer.

Previous Rank: 13

Katie Fiso

Washington, Class of 2024

POSITION/RANKPG  /  2

Fiso had a terrific summer and fall.  She followed up her club play with Tree of Hope with USA Basketball 3x3 and the Nike World Basketball Festival.  Her scoring abilty took off this year, especialloy shooting the ball, and she did it without impacting her ability to find teammates.

Avery Howell

POSITION/RANKW  /  1

COMMITTED TO

USCPlayer Videos

Howell was one of the biggest upwards movers this entire calendar year.  Her play with Meta 3SSB and at the adidas EuroCamp allowed the breakthrough in her recruitment.  The USC commit has earned every bit of her move up.

Previous Rank: 23

Mikayla Blakes

New Jersey, Class of 2024

POSITION/RANKG  /  2

HEIGHT6' 0"

COMMITTED TO

Vanderbilt

#17

Blakes play this summer can be described with one word, spectacular.  As a lead guard she impressed all summer long with the Philly Rise with efficient scoring while setting the table for her teammates.  Her 1.59 assist-to-turnover ratio during Nike EYBL play speaks volumes.

Previous Rank: 27

Zania Socka-Nguemen

District of Columbia, Class of 2024

POSITION/RANKF  /  8

HEIGHT6' 3"

COMMITTED TO

UCLA

When players can effectively shut down the paint for opposing offenses that doesn’t always come with a box score metric. Sure there are blocked shots but altered shots and flat out changing what decisions the other team makes is more impactful than any block.

AROUND THE RIM

This is an interesting year for uncommitted elite players.  At the start of the early signing period there are still 10 out of the top 30 on the board still.  Much of that could change in the coming days but it will be interesting to watch how many carry their decision timelines into the spring to see what the transfer dynamic does to the programs they are considering.
