Alyx Fast is an EBA and Check Me Out Showcase veteran having showcased her game on both coasts multiple times over the past two years.

Class of 2016 guard Alyx Fast of Centralia, Wash., is one of country’s most passionate basketball players in the class. Her dedication to greatness, effort and work ethic all point to her being a productive perimeter option at the next level.

Vitals

Name: Alyx Fast – Grad Year: 2016
Location: Centralia, Wash. – School: Centralia HS
Current Position: SG/PG – Projected Position: SG/PG

Strengths

At 5 feet 8, Fast has the size and skill set needed to be effective at either guard position. She has shown during multiple Check Me Out Showcases and Elite Basketball Academy camps, a willingness to do whatever is asked to get the job done. In that way Fast is able to play multiple positions from the point guard to even some small forward in a quicker lineup designed to press. A three-star prospect, Fast is more than capable of making the open outside shot on one possession, scooping and scoring a loose ball on the defensive end then finding an open teammate on the fast break.

Area To Improve

After suffering a knee injury just after the conclusion of All-American Camp (September 2014), rehabbing will be the next point of order for the talented guard. Fast’s work ethic reminds me of former EBA camper Baylee Rexing of Suwanee, Ga. That’s the highest of compliments as Rexing is highly regarded in the ProspectsNation.com staff circles. Like Rexing, Fast will have to return from the injury showing that she is capable of knocking down the open jump shot with her feet set.

The Bottom Line

We fully expect Fast to come back better than ever from her injury. When she does, we’ll look for her to have a noteworthy spring/summer season in 2015. She’s a high IQ player and the consummate teammate who will be a great addition to a college roster.
