Emanuely de Oliveira has committed to Florida. Oliveira, a 5-foot-10 guard who played for the U17, U16 and U15 Brazilian national teams, made a verbal pledge to the SEC school after making an official visit last week. As a member of the 2018 class, Oliveira is a key midseason addition that will give the Gators athleticism at the backcourt positions.

Oliveira is a dynamic athlete with a strong build. Offensively she is at her best when attacking the rim. She embraces contact and does a good job finishing around the basket. During her prep career, Oliveira has developed more consistency shooting from the perimeter and has continued to develop her skills from year to year.  She rebounds the ball well for a wing and will give the SEC program a versatile defender on the perimeter.

Oliveira won a South American Championships gold medal with the U15 Brazilian team, and a silver medal in the U16 Americas Championships in 2015 to qualify her country for the U17 Worlds.  She scored 9 points and grabbed 4 rebounds in Brazil’s upset of the United States in the semifinal round.

The addition of Oliveira gives coach Cam Newbauer and his staff their third player in the 2018 class. The Gators signed point guard Ariel Johnson from Tracy, California and landed a midseason commitment from Australian forward Kristina Moore. With Oliveira joining Florida's 2018 class, the Gators now have three four-star commitments in the 2018 class and could be looking to add more.
