Tianna Thompson

BUFORD, Georgia  -- Tianna Thompson of Atlanta, Georgia, is a 2024 combo guard who is seeing her recruitment surge.  After a terrific summer with AOT Lady Rebels, where we saw her compete in Chicago and in Georgia, she’s holding multiple Power 5 offers already, among them Auburn, Georgia Tech, Miami and Rutgers.  She’s a player we’ve been in the gym with several times in her young career.

Thompson looked like an ELITE 60 caliber prospect recruiting wise. At our Atlanta Academy in June, both she and classmate Lexi Blue were partnered in multiple drills with both looking the part of NCAA Tournament caliber guards. Thompson has had a fantastic run so for this year showcasing herself as a guard who is willing to put the time in training to take her game to the next level. Her jumpshot is coming along nicely with an off the dribble game that is already upper echelon in the class nationally.

The last 18 months for Tianna Thompson have been fun to watch.  She’s gone from a promising middle school prospect with upside to a viable Power 5 target.  Watching her from the BCS All American Camp in Georgia last year to this summer the confidence she shows using her length and quickness to create is fantastic to see. She’s fearless on the drive and did a great job drawing help and finding teammates when a bucket wasn’t there for her. Seeing her make plays against players two and three years older than her that are already committed to Power 5 schools  was super impressive.
