Ole Miss Adds Rodgers

Ole Miss Adds Rodgers
#NationNews

After an official visit to the SEC school, class of 2016 post Katelyn Rodgers of Birmingham, Ala., made a verbal commitment to Ole Miss coach Matt Insell and his staff.

Rodgers, a 6-foot-2 forward will give Insell and his staff a versatile option at the power forward position.  Her ability to step out and make shots on the perimeter, while also being strong enough to be effective scoring around the rim, will allow her to be used as an inside-out threat during her time in Oxford, Miss. During their time at Ole Miss, Insell and his staff have been able to develop interior players like Tia Faleru who was an All-SEC performer last year.  With the same strides in development, Rodgers has the ability to be an impactful college basketball player.

Ole Miss is putting together a strong 2016 recruiting class as in addition to Rodgers they currently hold verbal commitments from four-star forward Breanna Glover of Glasgow, Ky., and four-star Shelby Gibson of Murfreesboro, Tenn., giving them three members of the ELITE 150 for 2016, with four-star guard Jacaira Allen of Miami, Fla., yet to make a decision.
