SUWANEE, Ga. – Saturday marked the eighth straight year that Peach State Basketball has hosted the Fab Five Camp. The invitation-only camp is based upon bringing college-level prospects together to compete while placing an emphasis upon high level skill training. In this atmosphere, our team of evaluators saw who has the skill and the basketball acumen to compete at the next level. Here are a few notable names from Saturday.

Destinee Walker (Ocoee, Fla.), Lake Highland High School – 2015

While being ranked No. 32 by ProspectsNation.com, it might appear that Walker does not have much to prove to anyone. In reality, Walker is making it a point to prove that she belongs in the conversation of the ELITE in the Class of 2015. Her combination of productive game play and relentless desire to get better in skill workouts makes Walker a unique prospect. Her ability to be locked in and get extra work on her skills proves that she has qualities that will translate to the next level.

In game play Walker showed her step-back jumper from behind the arc that has earned her so much attention. The 5-foot-9 wing specializes in giving her team points in bunches as a jump shooter. Her ability to create space with the ball in her hands makes her a tough assignment for many defenders that line up opposite of her. With her play this morning and throughout this calendar year, Walker is aligning herself as one of the premier scoring jump shooters in the Class of 2015.

AROUND THE RIM

♦ Florida is well represented in the Peach State with Jazzmyn Simmons of Lehigh Acres, Fla. The 5-6 guard slashed through defenders all day long. The wing possesses athleticism that makes her an attractive prospect for recruiters.

Rhein Beamon of Lithonia, Ga., is a slashing wing who is gaining confidence. The left-handed guard finds ways to slash through the defense with either hand. Look for her to be hot name for her club coach, JD Davis, in the next 12 months.

Ashleigh Stanley embraces the role of a point guard on the court. The 5-4 guard from Dacula, Ga., controls the tempo and finds her teammates in the flow of the offense. Her basketball I.Q. should carry her to the next level.
