Vantimmeren Chooses Boston College

Vantimmeren Chooses Boston College
Ally Vantimmeren

Ally Vantimmeren of Grand Rapids, Michigan, has given her verbal commitment to Boston College.  The 6-foot-2 rising senior at Jenison High School is the second prospect to commit to the Eagles in 2021.

Vantimmeren’s recruitment was nationwide as she visited campuses near to and far from home over the past couple of years. In the end, Boston College fit the criteria of having a major conference program, playing time to earn immediately and a high end academic profile as well.

Vantimmeren will have a chance to provide the Eagles a versatile frontcourt option in the ACC. She's shown the skill inside our skill sessions to stretch the floor out beyond the 3-point line with her jumper and can post on the inside as well. Vantimmeren has shown the IQ to be a really effective inside-out threat in that regard and should flourish in Chestnut Hill.

Vantimmeren, who is ranked No. 68 in the class by ProspectsNation.com, is the second player in the Boston College recruiting haul for 2021.  She joins Amaria Fields of McKinney Texas, a 5-10 guard.
